Space to settle in

A different pace.
Still unmistakably Reno.

Somersett sits in northwest Reno’s foothills between Peavine Mountain and the Sierra Nevada. It brings together homes, golf, recreation and a network of walking and biking routes—with I-80 connecting you to Reno, Truckee and the mountains.

Neighborhoods within the master plan have different home designs, association obligations and amenity arrangements. Crystal can help you compare the details instead of treating every Somersett address as the same.

Four ways to call Somersett home

Find your fit.
Then make the connection.

01 / A home with its own point of view

Custom homesites & homes

Compare individual architecture, generous living areas, golf or mountain outlooks and outdoor space. For a custom homesite, review the buildable envelope, slope, drainage, access, utilities and architectural approvals as part of the full project budget.

02 / A fresh start

New construction

Brae Retreat by Desert Wind Homes offers another path to Somersett living. Compare newly built homes, homes underway and builder plans with Crystal. Confirm present availability, included finishes, lot premiums and completion timing directly for the home you select.

03 / Duets & attached living

Duets · The Village & The Vue

Explore attached duet designs and smaller-footprint homes. The Village is known for courtyard-style duet architecture near Town Center; The Vue also includes duet designs. Floor plans, ownership structure and maintenance responsibilities vary by property.

04 / Age-qualified living

55+ community · Sierra Canyon

Sierra Canyon is Somersett’s established 55+ community, centered on the Aspen Lodge. Ask for the recorded age-occupancy restrictions, guest rules, association obligations and exact eligibility requirements before choosing a home. The wider Somersett master plan is not all age-restricted.

Smaller homes and duets may offer a lower purchase price than larger custom estates, depending on location, condition and current inventory. Compare total monthly costs—including all HOA layers and maintenance—not just square footage.

The Duets, up close

A little less footprint.
Plenty of possibility.

The Village’s varied duet plans bring porches, courtyards and neighborhood-scale streets together. Some original plans place the primary suite on the ground level; check the floor plan of each available home.

With attached living, ask who maintains the exterior, roof, landscaping and shared areas. A convenient lifestyle depends on what the association actually covers.

The private club offers championship golf and dining, with select resident privileges as well as full membership options. Resident access is limited and subject to eligibility, fees and booking rules; it is not the same as unrestricted membership.

Community beyond the home

A place to meet.
A reason to stay awhile.

Town Square businesses, recreation programs and club dining give Somersett more than one gathering place. The association lists community activities and updates, while the private club maintains its own offerings.

Dining in the neighborhood

Check the address.

Somersett is in Washoe County School District. Nearby public schools to investigate include George Westergard Elementary, Billinghurst Middle and Robert McQueen High.

School assignments and enrollment eligibility depend on the exact address, current boundaries and district policies—not the neighborhood name or ZIP code alone. Verify with WCSD before relying on an assignment.
